The perfect example, compared to the surreal situation we’re experiencing, is the path taken by Alibaba, a Chinese e-commerce giant, who in 2003 faced SARS, a pandemic in many ways similar to Covid-19.
A situation with closed factories and an isolated population became a turning point for the Chinese economy, especially for online companies, which reorganized themselves in response to the huge demand for goods from consumers unable to leave their homes.
There’s no doubt: it was a period full of difficulties, but thanks to flexibility, hard work and perseverance, it turned into a winning bet.
