What is Depop?

Depop is a social shopping App that allows people to buy and sell clothes and accessories in just a few clicks.

Born in 2012 as an online second-hand marketplace, the platform has grown quickly and today it counts more than 10 million users worldwide.

You can easily open your own personal shop and be part of the Depop community. The App offers a social experience through the ability to directly contact other users through likes, comments or private messages.

Take a picture of your items, list them on Depop and start selling!

Depop attracted also celebrities. Italians fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni and model Bianca Balti sell items from their wardrobe through their Depop accounts.

Set your Depop account

You can join Depop for free. The interface is intuitive and it’s extremely easy to set a new account.

Once you’ve downloaded the App, tap “Get started” and sign up with your data to set up your account. Choose the username, the password, the profile picture and get started!

You can upload up to 4 pictures of the item you want to sell with an accurate description. Set the price, your current location, the payment method, the shipping cost, then you can immediately start selling!

When you sell an item, Depop will automatically charge the 10% fee on the total transaction amount (including shipping costs).

You can also add a biography and your website URL to your profile to let people know about your business and the products you sell.
